Job summary

WSP USA in North Carolina is seeking an Associate Consultant Water Resources Engineer to join our NC offices. This role focuses on planning, analysis and design of stormwater conveyance, hydraulic modeling, drainage and site development, with opportunities to work toward a PE license.

You will collaborate with a local team on projects for NCDOT and municipal clients, deliver high-quality plans and reports, and contribute to risk management, cost estimates and permitting through final design and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Biological & Agriculture or related engineering field.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or FE certification completed.
On track to obtain PE license within four years.
2+ years of civil engineering experience in design, analysis, and related areas.
Experience with grading, drainage, hydrology and hydraulics, environmental permitting.
Proficient with modeling and design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, ORD, MicroStation).

Responsibilities

Collaborate with local project teams on water resources projects in NC.
Contribute to design efforts from preliminaries through final design, permitting, bidding, and construction.
Prepare technical reports and designs for water resources projects.
Produce plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates with supervision.
Maintain safety and quality standards as per company policies.
