Job summary

Hires Group in the United States is seeking a professional engineer to lead water-resources projects, guiding from early assessment through modelling, design development, and delivery in a fully remote role.

The job:
  • Lead multidisciplinary water‑resources projects — guiding work from early‑stage assessment through modelling, design development, and delivery
  • Develop and apply water‑resources models — using tools for hydrology, hydraulics, water‑quality, groundwater, and systems analysis to produce design calculations and technical documentation
  • Oversee water‑resources planning — including watershed assessment, water‑supply evaluation, stormwater and flood‑risk management, and infrastructure planning
  • Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance — navigating local, regional, and national permitting, environmental review, and policy requirements
  • Mentor and support engineering staff
