OEI is seeking a full-time Professional Engineer - Water Resources 2D Modeling Lead in Dallas, TX with 12+ years of experience to join our multidisciplinary team on municipal, land development, private, industrial, healthcare, and defense projects. The role centers on hydrologic, hydraulic, and 2D modeling and analysis for complex drainage and flood studies.

Responsibilities include scope development, data collection, 2D modeling with ArcGIS, and presenting findings to clients.

Qualificações

• BS in Civil Engineering; MS in Civil Engineering with Water Resources concentration is a plus.
• Texas PE or ability to obtain Texas registration within 12 months.
• 12+ years of experience in water resources engineering.

• Develop project scope, supporting invoicing, budgeting, scheduling, managing, documenting.
• Use ArcGIS and related tools to compile and tailor maps for each project.
• Collect data from various databases for model parameter development.
• Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic and 2D modeling.
• Create watershed mapping and inundation mapping.
• Prepare and present project findings to clients and external groups.
• Prepare reports and supervise staff in producing graphics.
• Prepare submittals for permit applications and liaise with agencies on RFIs.
• Supervise and train junior staff.
• Professional Registration: Texas PE or eligibility within 12 months.

Professional Engineer - Water Resources 2D Modeling Lead

OEI (O'Brien Engineering & Architecture) is seeking a full-time Professional Engineer - Water Resources 2D Modeling Lead with 12+ years of experience to join our team. This position will collaborate with a multidisciplinary A/E team and will work on municipal, land development, private, industrial, healthcare, military/defense, and other projects. Subject Matter Expertise on engineering projects that are largely water resources focused including civil, hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and analysis. Ability to conceptualize, scope, and manage a variety of drainage and flood related projects including master flood studies, master drainage studies, comprehensive watershed studies, bank stabilization, storm drainage remediation, hydraulic analysis of bridges, culverts, channels, flumes, energy dissipation analysis; dam break analysis a plus.

Professional Engineer - Water Resources 2D Modeling Lead Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Developing project scope; supporting invoicing, budgeting, scheduling, managing, documenting.
• Using ArcGIS and related tools to compile and individualize maps for each project.
• Collecting data through various databases for use in determining model parameters.
• Hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic and 2D modeling.
• Watershed mapping and inundation mapping.
• Preparing and presenting project findings to clients and other external groups, in support of project objectives and deliverables.
• Preparing reports and directing staff in preparing graphics for reports.
• Preparing submittals for permit applications; communication with agencies to address RFIs and clarifications.
• Supervising and training junior staff.
• Professional Registration: Texas PE or ability to obtain Texas registration within 12 months.
• Minimum three days a week in-office.
• BS in Civil Engineering. MS in Civil Engineering with Water Resources or similar concentration is a plus.
