Job summary

OEI is seeking a full-time Professional Engineer - Water Resources 2D Modeling Lead in Dallas, TX with 12+ years of experience to join our multidisciplinary team on municipal, land development, private, industrial, healthcare, and defense projects. The role centers on hydrologic, hydraulic, and 2D modeling and analysis for complex drainage and flood studies.

Responsibilities include scope development, data collection, 2D modeling with ArcGIS, and presenting findings to clients.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering; MS in Civil Engineering with Water Resources concentration is a plus.
• Texas PE or ability to obtain Texas registration within 12 months.
• 12+ years of experience in water resources engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope, supporting invoicing, budgeting, scheduling, managing, documenting.
• Use ArcGIS and related tools to compile and tailor maps for each project.
• Collect data from various databases for model parameter development.
• Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, hydrodynamic and 2D modeling.
• Create watershed mapping and inundation mapping.
• Prepare and present project findings to clients and external groups.
• Prepare reports and supervise staff in producing graphics.
• Prepare submittals for permit applications and liaise with agencies on RFIs.
• Supervise and train junior staff.
• Professional Registration: Texas PE or eligibility within 12 months.
