Job summary

Martin and Wood Water Consultants (M&W) is seeking a Water Resources Engineer with 7+ years of experience to lead major water resources projects across Colorado. You will mentor professionals, develop a strong technical team, and help solve critical water challenges for the West.

You’ll own investigations from concept to completion, manage water rights evaluations, and contribute to strategy while producing expert reports and analyses and building lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in water resources engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • Colorado Professional Engineer license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Familiarity with Colorado water rights and the regulatory landscape.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experience managing tasks, projects and staff.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret information in both statistical and narrative form.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, ArcMap, IDS AWAS, IDSCU, StateCU, and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Build lasting client relationships with both new and existing clients.
