Job summary
Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects in Kansas City, MO seeks an Engineer in Training to support the Water Resources design team. The role focuses on water projects, including drainage/flood control, potable water, and sanitary/wastewater systems.
You will assist with design calculations, data collection, and project reporting, under senior engineers' guidance. Requirements: BS in Civil/Environmental/Water Resource Engineering, EIT certification, and 2+ years of relevant experience; MS
Qualifications
- BS degree in Civil/Environmental/Water Resource Engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university; MS considered.
- EIT Certification (FE exam) required.
- 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in construction plan production, design calculations, and/or technical writing.
- Knowledge of Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil3D) or Bentley (MicroStation, InRoads) platforms is a plus.
- Experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, and USACE HEC programs is a plus.
- GIS experience is a plus.
- No visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Support field investigations or assessments.
- Perform design engineering calculations.
- Assist in designing water and stormwater infrastructure.
- Provide data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Participate in writing and production of project reports.
- Work under mentorship of senior engineers.
