URC Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking an Engineer in Training in Kansas City, MO. This role involves supporting the Water Resources design team with projects on drainage, potable water infrastructure, and wastewater services.

The ideal candidate will have a BS Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, EIT Certification, and be ready to work alongside senior engineers on various infrastructure designs. A salary starting at $75,000, adjusted for experience, will be offered.

Job Summary

Wilson & Company, Inc., Engineers & Architects is seeking an Engineer in Training professional to support the Water Resources design team in our Kansas City office. The position focuses on water-related projects, including drainage/flood control, potable and supply water infrastructure, and sanitary/wastewater infrastructure engineering services.

Essential Job Functions

Required Experience

• BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Water Resource Engineering from an EAC/ABET‑accredited college or university.
• Masters degrees will receive due consideration.
• EIT Certification (e.g., passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam).
• 1+ year(s) of relevant experience, preferably in construction plan production, design calculations, and/or technical writing.
• Knowledge of Autodesk (AutoCAD, Civil3D) or Bentley (MicroStation, InRoads) is a plus.
• Experience with commercial engineering modeling software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, StormCAD, and USACE HEC programs is a plus.
• Geographic Information Systems (GIS) working experience is a plus.
