Job summary

HDR is seeking a Civil Engineer to support water resources projects in Pensacola, FL. You will work with project engineers on hydraulics, hydrology modeling, stormwater system modeling, data collection and presentations for federal, state and local municipalities.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree, are proficient with AutoCAD and hydraulic modeling software, and demonstrate self‑motivation and teamwork within HDR's employee‑owned culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, CAD platforms such as AutoCAD, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of tasks.
• Commitment to being an active participant in our employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Work under project engineers on design engineering and modeling for water resource projects.
• Focus on hydraulics and hydrology modeling, stormwater systems modeling, and data presentation.
• Contribute to flood control, river design, levee systems, and watershed restoration efforts.
• Produce design calculations, draft technical reports and water resources studies.
• Perform other duties as needed.
