Thomas & Hutton is seeking a Civil Engineer in Water Resources with an Engineer in Training emphasis to design stormwater infrastructure and hydrologic studies across the Southeast. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, apply Civil 3D and hydrologic modeling tools, and advance projects from concept to permit-ready documentation.

You should have a degree in civil/environmental/biosystems engineering, an EIT or PE path preferred, and strong communication and project-management skills to

Qualifikationen

• EIT certification or ability to obtain (PE path strongly preferred).
• 35 years of experience in water resources engineering, including hydrologic and hydraulic design and analysis.
• Strong understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles, stormwater design, and water-quality analysis
• Working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D

Aufgaben

• Design construction plans, contract documents, quantity takeoffs, and opinions of probable construction cost for stormwater capital-improvement projects
• Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and water-quality analyses for open-channel and closed-conduit stormwater systems
• Design site-specific best management practices, including conventional, low-impact-development, and stormwater volume-control solutions
• Prepare permit applications and supporting documentation for regulatory approval
• Develop one- and two-dimensional hydrologic and hydraulic models, FEMA CLOMR/LOMR applications, technical exhibits, and drainage reports
• Apply Autodesk Civil 3D and water-resources modeling software to prepare and refine designs
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery
• Manage project tasks to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations
