Job summary

Arizona Public Service offers a paid, 10-week Water Resource Management Internship in Phoenix. You will gain hands-on experience with water policies, programs, and planning efforts that support sustainable resources for power generation.

Work alongside water resources professionals engaging with regulators, industry partners, and internal teams. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an undergrad or grad program, pursuing public policy or related fields, with strong research and communication skills

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program.
• Pursuing studies in Public Policy, Political Science, Environmental Policy, Legal Studies, Public Administration, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills with interest in public policy and natural resource management.
• Effective written and verbal communication with ability to work across diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple to intermediate analyses and assist in preparing plans, designs, cost estimates, and studies.
• Assist in research, documentation, and technical reviews; summarize results in reports or presentations.
• Coordinate with other disciplines or departments to achieve project goals.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and documentation to support compliance with laws and regulations.
• Attend meetings with government agencies and industry groups to gain policy insights.
• Participate in site visits to learn how water management supports power generation operations.
