Job summary

Jobtailor in Atlanta, GA seeks a senior CAD specialist to develop 3D models and detailed drawings for water resource projects. You will interpret survey data, maintain CAD standards, and collaborate with engineers on construction plans and technical drawings.

You will mentor CAD staff, coordinate workload within the Dams and Levees team, and drive quality control of models, drawings, and data to meet project requirements. Revit and MicroStation familiarity is a plus.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
Advanced CAD software skills and drafting standards knowledge.
Ability to learn, adapt, and solve problems to produce accurate deliverables.
Experience working with all levels of personnel.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
Preferred: Associate degree in CAD Drafting or Autodesk certification.
Familiarity with Revit or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

Develop 3D models, drawings, and details for dam, levee, and water resource projects.
Utilize survey data to build 3D surfaces, cross-sections, grading, alignments, and profiles.
Translate sketches and redlines into precise CAD deliverables.
Collaborate with engineers to produce construction plans and technical drawings.
Apply and maintain CAD standards and update templates, styles, and blocks.
Conduct quality control reviews on models and data to ensure accuracy.
Train and mentor CAD staff and engineers in drawing production and CAD best practices.
Assist in CAD workload coordination within the Dams and Levees team.
Lead CAD activities on projects and may manage CAD staff or library.
Perform other duties as assigned with flexibility to evolve.
