West Virginia University’s WVWRI is seeking a Water Research Specialist to support field sampling, data management, and outreach across multiple grants. You will coordinate field logistics, analyze water quality data, and help prepare technical and educational materials for diverse stakeholders.

The role emphasizes adaptability to grant-based projects, collaboration with state and federal agencies, and opportunities to engage in workforce development and watershed restoration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in chemistry, geology, environmental science, or a natural resources field.
• 0-6 months of experience in water quality research or related activities.
• Equivalent education and/or experience will be considered.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate field sampling logistics across WV and surrounding areas.
• Process water quality data with QA/QC procedures and GIS mapping.
• Prepare and deliver outreach and educational materials.
