Job summary

Daphne Utilities seeks a Water Reclamation Operator Grade II to operate wastewater treatment systems in the Alabama facility. You will monitor equipment, collect samples, and ensure compliance with NPDES regulations while coordinating with the Water Reclamation Supervisor.

The role requires basic computer skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work evenings or weekends as needed in a full-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical training in wastewater operations.
• 1 year experience in wastewater treatment or training in operations.
• Must obtain/maintain Alabama Grade II Wastewater Operator license within 12 months.
• Valid Alabama driver's license; pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor wastewater treatment systems and equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report faults promptly.
• Collect samples for chemical/biological analyses per permit.
• Record data, calibrations, logs, and reports for compliance.
• Assist with inventory and obtain materials as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate plant status to supervisor and team; on-call as required.
• Attend to on-site tasks across Baldwin County as needed.
