Job summary

DuPage County is seeking a Water Quality Supervisor in the Stormwater Management Department. The role offers hybrid work after a 6-month probation, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance along with retirement and tuition reimbursement options.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, guiding program goals for IEPA-aligned water quality initiatives, securing grants, and coordinating with watershed partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Botany, Soils, Natural Resources or related field.
• Five years of experience coordinating efforts to identify and mitigate water quality problems, including two years in a supervisory role.
• Valid Illinois driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work of subordinate personnel engaged in projects related to water quality.
• Recommends hires and promotions, directs and evaluates employment decisions for all assigned positions.
• Develops and implements five year plans related to discharge of stormwater and pollutant impacts.
• Coordinates with watershed partners including municipal and state staff on expansion of water quality programs across the County.
