Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or a related field.
• Five years of experience in chemical or biological analysis, including two years in a supervisory role.
• Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Organizes, prioritizes, assigns work; ensures resources to meet objectives.
• Monitors plant operations to meet state and EPA regulations and analyzes data.
• Ensures SOPs are followed and inspects plant equipment and laboratory.
• Trains operators and maintains procedures; updates SOPs when new equipment is added.
• Schedules tasks and weekly safety meetings; coordinates with management and engineering.
• Recommends and acquires chemicals and supplies; manages inventory and calibration checks.
• Evaluates operator performance and designs forms for daily lab procedures.
