City of Victoria TX is seeking a qualified Inspector for Industrial Pretreatment and stormwater compliance. The role focuses on inspections, sample collection, and analysis, while ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.

Strong communication and organization are essential for serving the public and maintaining records. The position requires a degree or equivalent experience, a Texas driver’s license, and knowledge of regulatory frameworks.

Formación

• Associate's degree in a related field or High School Diploma/GED with 3 years of related experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• One year experience in sample collection/analysis.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations in industrial pretreatment, fats, oil and grease, backflow, and stormwater compliance.
• Work safety policies, procedures, and practices.
• Knowledge of graphics, dimensional drawings, and plumbing details; knowledge of computers and software programs.
• Mathematical computation used to figure biological formulas and interpret analysis of water and wastewater samples.
• Reading and interpreting work orders and equipment manuals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with staff, agencies, and the public.
• Effective organization, prioritization, and deadline management.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain professional relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Perform inspections of industrial and commercial establishments and prepare reports.
• Respond to permit questions and requirements.
• Collect water/wastewater samples and perform analyses.
• Maintain records as required.
• Issue notification of non-compliance and set time limits for compliance.
• Disseminate information on pretreatment, FO G, and stormwater compliance.
• Investigate complaints and deliver courteous public service.
• Follow safety rules and use field equipment properly.
• Prepare reports accurately and timely.
