Job summary

Strategic Government Resources, Inc. seeks an Environmental Inspector to enforce environmental regulations and perform water quality testing in Texas.

You will review pretreatment permits, investigate complaints, and respond to emergencies while maintaining sampling equipment and documentation. The role requires a Bachelor's in environmental science and two years’ field testing experience, plus a valid Texas driver’s license; certain licenses may be needed within one year of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in environmental science, biology or a related field.
• Two years of experience in water or wastewater testing and sampling.
• Must possess a valid Texas driver’s license.
• Must obtain TCEQ Class C Water Distribution Operator and Wastewater Collection Class II Operator licenses within one year of hire. Depending on assigned specialty, BPAT/CSI licenses may be required within one year.

Responsibilities

• Enforce federal, state and local environmental regulations as part of daily duties.
• Conduct water quality inspections, sampling and monitoring.
• Review industrial pretreatment permits and investigate environmental complaints.
• Respond to environmental emergencies and participate in an on-call rotation.
