Job summary

The Southwest Florida Water Management District in Brooksville, FL is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support its Chemistry Laboratory operations, preparing and analyzing samples and ensuring data integrity.

Qualifications

• Associates degree (or higher) and two years of related laboratory experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• For Technician level 3: four years of related laboratory, scientific, environmental, or technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sample preparation and testing following established regulatory and scientific methods.
• Record and review laboratory activities using LIMS and laboratory notebooks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and cross-train at other laboratory workstations as needed.
• Troubleshoot routine analytical issues and prepare reagents accurately.
