Job summary

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in chemistry/biochemistry/biology/microbiology or related field and may hold Water Quality Lab Certificates. This role requires attention to detail and strong record-keeping in a public service setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, microbiology, or related field.
• Knowledge of water quality testing and laboratory regulations.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical, bacteriological and biological analysis of water and wastewater samples.
• Maintain accurate records of procedures and results; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare, standardize, and maintain stocks of solutions and reagents used in analyses.
• Clean and sterilize laboratory equipment and maintain supplies.
• Collect samples for analysis and manage chain of custody and preservation requirements.
• Assist in quality control of laboratory procedures and equipment.
• Assist in overall laboratory operations and related duties.
