Job summary

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection’s Water Resource Management division in Ewing, NJ seeks a candidate to collect and analyze water quality samples for freshwater assessment. You will perform physical/chemical measurements, measure stream flow, and prepare data reports with attention to detail.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a physical, environmental, chemical or biological science, or an engineering field; strong analytical writing and presentation skills; and

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's in Physical/Environmental/Chemical/Biological Sciences or Engineering.
• US degrees from accredited institutions; foreign degrees must be evaluated for accreditation by closing date.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze water quality samples for freshwater assessment.
• Operate equipment to measure physical/chemical parameters and identify sampling sites.
• Maintain electronic water quality database and generate data reports.
• Operate state vehicles (truck/boat) as required.
