Clarity Partners is seeking a Water Quality Analyst local to Chicago, IL. This person will perform a range of administrative, technical, and operational duties to support high-quality service delivery and effective management of the water meter and water quality systems. This role focuses on data management, meter services, water quality monitoring, and program logistics to ensure regulatory compliance and public confidence in water safety. This position will report in a hybrid setting.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to inquiries related to the water quality testing program.
  • Coordinate and oversee water testing activities, ensuring timely and accurate results.
  • Implement and maintain quality control measures for testing processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Supervise the Water Testing Kit team to ensure efficient operations and timely fulfillment.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external partners (e.g., USPS) to streamline distribution and return logistics.
  • Collaborate with the Division of Water Quality to prepare and distribute materials such as the Consumer Confidence Report (CCR), informational flyers, door hangers, surveys, and technical reports.
  • Ensure printed materials clearly and effectively communicate important water quality information to the public.
  • Assist in managing key water quality operations, including boil order responses, water quality testing, and assessments at high-risk facilities.
  • Work across departments to identify, escalate, and resolve water quality concerns quickly and efficiently
  • Maintain and analyze data from water meters and testing systems to support decision-making.
  • Provide regular reports on system performance, water quality trends, and operational metrics.

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Civil, Environmental preferred), Construction Management, Project Management, or Data Science is preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field such as project management, engineering, data analysis, or utility operations.
  • Prior experience in environmental quality or municipal water systems is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Technical proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with water quality regulations and testing protocols is advantageous.

Clarity is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For the Water Quality Analyst role, the base salary pay range is $60,000 - $90,000. The range represents a good faith estimate that Clarity reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of posting. Compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
