Torrey Holistics is looking for a Water Pump Field Service Apprentice to join our employee-owned team. You will help stage pumps, pipes, hoses and fittings, assist at local customer sites, and learn to diagnose basic diesel equipment issues under seasoned techs.

This hands-on role emphasizes safety, reliability, and growth. You will operate motorized handling equipment, help with mobilization and demobilization, and support connections of piping and pumps on projects across the Kansas City area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• General mechanical aptitude and a love of hands-on work.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently in a fast-paced setting.
• Flexibility for local travel and variable hours as needed.
• Exposure to diesel engines a plus (not required).

Responsibilities

• Pull and stage hose, pipe, fittings, and pumps for maintenance and repair work.
• Operate motorized handling equipment to load and unload gear.
• Secure loads for safe transport.
• Keep the yard and loading zones clear, tidy, and organized.
• Follow all safety processes and procedures without exception.
• Travel locally to assist with mobilizing and demobilizing systems at customer sites.
• Help connect piping, set pumps, and remove equipment/accessories at project completion.
• Assist in diagnosing issues on diesel-powered heavy equipment.

Water Pump Field Service ApprenticePicture your day starting at our equipment yard. You throw on your PPE, review the work order, and team up to stage hose, pipe, fittings, and pumps for the first installation. Using motorized material-handling equipment, you help load the truck, double-check load security, and make sure the yard stays clean and organized. Then it’s off to a local customer site where you’ll assist in setting pumps, assembling pipe runs, and later—when the project wraps—help with dismantling and demobilization.
