Amazon Web Services, Inc. in Arlington, VA is seeking a Water Projects Engineer to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure for our data centers.

You will build early relationships with utilities and communities, shaping strategies and agreements to ensure reliable water supply while balancing business and environmental needs. You will work across planning, design, and execution, coordinating with legal, finance, and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, HR or related field.
• 3+ years building relationships with utilities, regulators, or public agencies.
• 3+ years working with water or wastewater utilities, municipalities, or related infrastructure projects.
• Experience with financial analysis, modeling, or regulatory frameworks for water infrastructure projects (budgets $10M+).

Responsibilities

• Deliver water and wastewater infrastructure for AWS data centers.
• Build relationships with utilities and communities as primary contact.
• Help utilities plan and represent projects in public forums.
• Negotiate water service agreements and related contracts.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, and internal stakeholders.
• Support planning, design, and execution of water projects.
• Travel up to 20% as needed.
