Job summary

City of St. Louis is seeking a full-time position in the Water Division to prepare cost estimates for construction projects, conduct field inspections, and manage project documentation in Saint Louis, MO. The role requires an Associate degree in Civil Engineering or related field with at least one year of cost-estimation experience, or an equivalent combination.

A valid driver's license is required. Candidates will also file work orders, coordinate with crews and inspectors, and support permit

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Civil Engineering or related field and at least one year of experience preparing cost estimates for construction projects.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience acceptable; must demonstrate knowledge of construction materials, costs, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepares cost estimates of Water Division work for construction projects.
• Keeps and maintains updated records (main brakes, fire hydrants running, etc) and documentation.
• Files all documentation related to new construction.
• Prepares work orders and permits.
• Conveys information to crews and inspectors on the street regarding water line sizes and locations.
• Makes inquiries for utility clearance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
