Job summary

The Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) seeks an Agency Instructor I – Water Program to deliver online and in-person coursework, applying adult learning theory to help learners succeed. This telecommuting role supports a water utility program and reports to the Training Manager.

You will teach various water/wastewater courses, help update curriculum, and maintain your technical competencies. A Texas driver’s license and state licenses may be required; travel to training sites may be

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of experience in operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water utility systems.
  • 1 year of experience in training adults.
  • Valid driver’s license; Texas Class B Water or Wastewater license or equivalent.
  • TCEQ instructional requirements (60 hours) or completion of approved Instructor training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in training various specialty courses within the program.
  • Deliver online and/or classroom instruction and field-based skills training.
  • Update curriculum content to meet learner needs.
  • Maintain currency of technical competence and skills.
