Job summary

The Chronicle Of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking an experienced instructor to deliver wastewater treatment and water utility courses.

Responsibilities include on-campus or remote training for water and wastewater personnel, with emphasis on practical demonstrations and safety, using teaching aids and accurate documentation. You will develop and deliver certified curricula, assess trainees, and maintain up-to-date technical knowledge while coordinating with program management.

Qualifications

  • Four years of experience in the operation, maintenance, design, construction, or regulation of water or wastewater utility systems.
  • Level ‘A’ license in the category being taught (P/C Wastewater, Biological Wastewater, Water Treatment, Water Distribution).
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Travel required.

  • Implement revisions to course materials to actively engage participants and maximize learning.
  • Administer written and practical assessments to evaluate trainees’ performance and provide timely feedback.
  • Complete and submit required documentation by established deadlines.

Job Responsibilities

Under the general supervision of the Industrial Technology Program Manager, performs duties related to instruction waste water industry. Delivers and conducts training courses on campus or at remote locations for water and wastewater utility personnel to increase their technical competence and skills. Performs classroom and topic preparation, and delivery of classes including demonstrating with teaching aids and completing required administrative paperwork. Maintains technical competence and skills. Maintain the safety of the students as a priority. Deliver technical product knowledge and skill-based instruction, including certification and customized curricula for the customer. Implement approved revisions to course material as necessary to actively engage participants to maximize learning. Continuously enhance technical instructional delivery and presentation skills. Administer written and practical assessments to evaluate trainees' performance. Completion and submission of any required documentation upon conclusion. Deliver attendance within the established deadlines. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills and be proficient in computer skills in the major office applications, i.e. Word, Excel.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
