The Environmental Technician (Water Production Technician) is responsible for the operation of the most critical function of our manufacturing facility – the zero liquid discharge wastewater treatment & recovery system. Without this system, GreenSource would not be capable of manufacturing printed circuits boards (PCBs). This position involves processing waste generated from the manufacturing of printed circuit boards through the wastewater treatment and water recovery systems in order to generate process water to be re-used in the manufacturing processes.
This is a hands‑on role spent primarily on the production floor in a regulated manufacturing environment. The role requires standing, walking, bending, leaning, reaching, crouching, and sitting for extended periods, as well as a high level of manual dexterity. Flexibility in schedule, including occasional extended hours and overtime, may be necessary to support production and operational demands. Work involves exposure to chemicals, fumes, noise, wastewater, and manufacturing materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, protective clothing, and respiratory protection, is required in designated areas or when performing specific tasks. The ability to wear required respiratory protection is an essential function of the role. The position requires the ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds (23 kg) without assistance and lift or move up to 75 pounds (34 kg) with assistance or appropriate material‑handling equipment. The role also requires the ability to safely operate factory machinery and environmental/process equipment and use computer systems and software associated with computer‑operated equipment.
