Job summary

Fort Bend County Water Control & Improvement District No. 2, Texas is seeking a Water Production Operator II/III to ensure safe, reliable water service for Stafford.

The role involves operating pumps and treatment systems, monitoring processes, data collection and preventive maintenance to meet regulatory standards. Ideal candidates are safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and capable of independent and collaborative work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College level coursework in water production preferred.
• Must possess one of the following (or obtain within 12 months): TCEQ Class C Surface Water License or TCEQ Class C Groundwater License.

Responsibilities

• Operate pumps, motors, valves and chemical feed systems; monitor treatment processes and quality control.
• Collect and record operational data and perform preventive maintenance.
• Troubleshoot equipment and process issues; interpret readings and take corrective action.
• Mentor less experienced staff for Operator III level.
