Job summary

City of Peoria is seeking a Utility System Operator I (Water Production) at the Municipal Operations Center, Peoria, AZ. This role supports installation, maintenance, and repair of the water system, including well-field treatment and delivery equipment.

Responsibilities may include shift work, weekends, holidays, standby and call-back duties. A CDL-A with HazMat/Tanker endorsements is required within six months, and ADEQ Grade I Water Certification within one year.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL-A with HazMat and Tanker endorsements due within six months of hire.
• ADEQ Grade I Water Distribution or Water Treatment certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of the water system.
• Service equipment related to well-field treatment and delivery systems.
• Work shifts may include weekends, holidays, standby and call-back duties.
