Job summary

The City of Peoria, AZ water department seeks personnel to assist with installation, maintenance and repair of the water system, including well-field treatment and delivery equipment.

No prior experience is required; candidates must obtain a Class A CDL with HazMat/Tanker within 6 months and ADEQ water certification within one year. Shift work and on‑call duties may apply.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• No prior experience required for this position.
• Valid Arizona Class “A” CDL with HazMAT and Tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire.
• ADEQ Certification in Water Distribution or Water Treatment within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with installation, maintenance, and repair work of the water system.
• Service equipment related to well-field treatment and delivery systems.
• Complete related tasks as assigned. Shift work, weekends, holidays, standby and call back duty may be required.
