Job summary

Stantec in Cleveland, OH is seeking a Process Mechanical Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our water team. You will work on municipal water and wastewater projects, gaining exposure to design of treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.

Under mentorship from experienced engineers, you will perform analyses, prepare drawings and specifications, and develop planning reports while growing technical and leadership skills for advancing roles within our water infrastructure practice.

Qualifications

• BS degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering, or related field, required.
• MS degree in civil or environmental engineering or related field, preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification required, or ability to achieve within 1 year.
• 0-5 years of experience in the planning or design of water, wastewater, or related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams to deliver engineering solutions for municipal water and wastewater clients.
• Perform analyses, prepare design drawings, and develop engineering reports.
• Support design of pipelines, pump stations, and water/wastewater treatment systems.
• Mentor junior team members as experience grows.
