Black & Veatch is seeking a Drinking Water Process Staff Engineer in Irvine, CA. The role focuses on conventional and advanced water treatment processes, leading design efforts, and providing technical guidance across projects worldwide.
The position emphasizes safety, ownership, and employee-ownership culture within a flexible work environment. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to apply advanced water treatment techniques, supervise staff, and contribute to client relationships
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program; PE license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience in drinking water treatment.
- Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctoral) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares or assists in development of engineering deliverables, including process flow diagrams and P&IDs.
- Supports multiple projects with complex technical challenges.
- Mentors junior engineers and leads process design.
- Coordinates with clients and project teams to meet design objectives.
- Develops life cycle cost evaluations and recommendations for treatment options.
