Job summary

Ladue School District seeks an Assistant Water Polo Coach for the Spring 2027 season at Ladue Horton Watkins High School. This position supports the athletic program and carries out the district's athletic philosophy.

Responsibilities include assisting the head coach with practices and game strategy, helping student-athletes develop skills, sportsmanship, and self-esteem, and adhering to MSHSAA guidelines. Certifications and SafeSchools are required or pursued as noted.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching, coaching, and/or sports medicine required.
• Missouri Teacher Certification preferred.
• Eligibility for Missouri Substitute Certification required.
• Coaches must have or obtain Sports First Aid certification and MSHSAA coaching certification.
• SafeSchools completion required.
• FBI Fingerprint/Background Check will be required for all non-district employees hired for coaching positions.

• Assist the head coach with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques.
• Assist with helping participating students/athletes in achieving a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills for student athletes, parents and the community.
• Adhere to all MSHSAA guidelines in and out of season.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in teaching, coaching, and/or sports medicine required.
• Missouri Teacher Certification preferred.
• Eligibility for Missouri Substitute Certification required.
• Additionally, all coaches will be required to have or to obtain Sports First Aid certification and MSHSAA coaching certification.
• Successful completion of SafeSchools.

COMPENSATION:

Stipend amount ranges from $3,877 - $4,848. Actual amount will be based on verified prior similar coaching experience.
