Job summary

Ladue School District is seeking a Track - Assistant Coach for the Spring 2027 season. The role supports the head coach in practices and strategy, helping athletes develop skills, discipline, and self-esteem while representing the program to families and the community.

Ideal candidates will have coaching or teaching experience, Missouri teaching certification preferred, and be prepared to obtain required substitute certification and safety trainings.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching, coaching, and/or sports medicine preferred.
• Missouri Teacher Certification preferred.
• Eligibility for Missouri Substitute Certification required and must be obtained.
• Sports First Aid Certification and MSHSAA coaching certification required.
• FBI Background Check will be required for non-district hires.

Track - Assistant Coach

This position is for the Spring 2027 season. Preseason has already begun for this position.

JOB SUMMARY

To carry out the philosophy of the athletic program and the athletic commitment of Ladue School District.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assist the head coach with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques.
• Assist with helping participating students/athletes in achieving a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills for student athletes, parents, and the community.
• Adhere to all MSHSAA guidelines in and out of season.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Experience in teaching, coaching, and/or sports medicine preferred.
• Missouri Teacher Certification preferred.
• Eligibility for Missouri Substitute Certification required and must be obtained.
• Additionally, all coaches will be required to have or to obtain Sports First Aid Certification and MSHSAA coaching certification.
• Successful completion of SafeSchools training.
• An FBI Fingerprint/Background Check will be required of all non-district employees who are hired for coaching positions.

COMPENSATION

Stipend amount ranges from $4,154 - $5,194. Actual amount will be based on verified prior similar coaching experience.
