Job summary

Ladue School District is seeking a Track - Assistant Coach for the Spring 2027 season at Ladue Horton Watkins High School. The role supports the head coach with practices, skills development, and game strategies, fostering discipline and teamwork among student athletes.

Ideal candidates have coaching or teaching experience, Missouri certifications if possible, and willingness to complete safety and background checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in teaching, coaching, and/or sports medicine preferred.
• Missouri Teacher Certification preferred.
• Eligibility for Missouri Substitute Certification required and must be obtained.
• Coaches must have or obtain Sports First Aid Certification and MSHSAA coaching certification.
• Successful completion of SafeSchools training.
• FBI Fingerprint/Background Check required for non-district employees.

Track - Assistant Coach

This position is for the Spring 2027 season. Preseason has already begun for this position.

JOB SUMMARY:

To carry out the philosophy of the athletic program and the athletic commitment of Ladue School District.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assist the head coach with conducting practices, motivating students, and instructing student athletes in game strategies and techniques.
• Assist with helping participating students/athletes in achieving a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills for student athletes, parents, and the community.
• Adhere to all MSHSAA guidelines in and out of season.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in teaching, coaching, and/or sports medicine preferred.
• Missouri Teacher Certification preferred.
• Eligibility for Missouri Substitute Certification required and must be obtained.
• Additionally, all coaches will be required to have or to obtain Sports First Aid Certification and MSHSAA coaching certification.
• Successful completion of SafeSchools training.

COMPENSATION:

Stipend amount ranges from $4,154 - $5,194. Actual amount will be based on verified prior similar coaching experience.
