Job summary

OJRSA is seeking a Maintenance Tech to perform technical and manual work in the daily operation and maintenance of the water reclamation facility and pump stations, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems. The role operates under supervision and may require scheduling flexibility for emergencies.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED, a valid SC Driver's License, and relevant maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience (preferred).
• Maintenance technician tasks include preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance on pumping stations, flow monitoring stations, and treatment plant equipment.
• Inspects generators, batteries, oil, and belts; replaces filters as needed.
• Inspects pump station wells, switches, ventilation, and safety equipment.
• Maintains electrical connections, tests continuity, and ensures safe operation of equipment.
• Repairs and rebuilds pumps and gearboxes, plans installations to minimize waste and ensure safety.
