Job summary

MWH Constructors is seeking a Project Superintendent to provide field leadership for the Bull Run Pipelines Project in Gresham, Oregon. You will supervise site activities, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with drawings, specifications, and schedule.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely delivery, with a focus on heavy civil construction and water/wastewater infrastructure. A 2- or 4-year degree and 5+ years of supervision experience are required.

Qualifications

• Two-year or four-year degree in engineering, construction management, or related field. An equivalent combination of experience, skills, and training and/or completion of trade school/apprenticeship program may be substituted.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in supervising/managing heavy civil construction projects ($25-$75M) and overseeing subcontractors and/or craft.
• Knowledge of all construction disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc.).
• Knowledge of cost control, manpower planning, and scheduling.
• Experience with project closeout and punch list management.
• Knowledge of computer systems and programs (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
• Ability to develop and maintain outstanding relations with Owner and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Supervise major work activities including site work, concrete, water-holding concrete structures, mechanical and process equipment installation.
• Plan and supervise employees and subcontractors’ activities; review construction methods, manpower, materials, equipment, schedules and hours.
• Coordinate work with employees and subcontractors.
• Maintain liaison with engineering and project management to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and schedule.
• Assist in resolving construction problems as required.
• Monitor safety program compliance and ensure corrective actions.
• Ensure materials, equipment, inspections support schedule.
• Review daily activity plans to ensure safe, efficient next-day work.
• Inspect work to ensure quality and conformance with specs.
