Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Driver’s License required.
• Respirator use required.
• General office software skills.
• Mechanical aptitude with pumps, generators, and hydraulics.
• Compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to work standby rotation.
• Water Distribution Level II license required or ability to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water systems including wells, pump stations, tanks, and treatment stations.
• Inspect, test, adjust, and repair pumps, meters, gauges, control valves, generators, chemical feeders, filters, and recorders.
• Install, maintain and repair water mains, hydrants, service lines and meters.
• Record production, chemical use, and compliance data.
• Participate in safety rules and weekend/holiday standby assignments.
• Store and handle equipment and materials safely.
