Job summary

The Maine Water Company is seeking a Water Operator 1 in Parsonsfield, Maine. You will operate and maintain wells, pump stations, tanks and treatment facilities, ensuring high-quality water delivery and compliance with safety rules.

Responsibilities include calibrating equipment, recording data, performing maintenance, and supporting distribution operations. The role requires a valid Water Distribution Level II license or progress toward certification and a willingness to work weekends or

High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Water Distribution Level II License preferred or ability to obtain within a reasonable time.
Ability to work independently and follow safety rules.

Responsibilities

Operates and maintains water systems; reports deficiencies to supervisor.
Performs preventive/corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, tanks and related equipment.
Calibrates analyzers and equipment; records production and chemical use.
Reads meters, records data, and transfers readings to the office.
Performs loading/unloading of equipment and materials at job sites.
