Job summary

Pittsburgh Water is seeking a Plumber to repair, replace, and maintain piping, valves, and fixtures across treatment plants, pump stations, and storage facilities. You will handle water, gas, and vent lines, and ensure compliance with the Allegheny County Plumbing Code.

Responsibilities include repairing lines, removing and installing meters, providing temporary service during outages, and responding to 24-hour emergencies. Requires a PA license and ability to work varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Journeyman plumbing level with knowledge of plumbing codes.
• Ability to read blueprints and project plans for job completion.
• Physical capability to lift heavy objects and perform labor-intensive work.

Responsibilities

• Repair and replace water lines and gas lines as needed.
• Install and service meters and provide temporary water service during interruptions.
• Respond to emergencies on a 24-hour basis and maintain records.
• Assist with field sketches and maintain accurate reports.
• Work across all three shifts and weekends when required.
