• Skilled manual work in construction, operation and maintenance of water distribution and sewage systems.
• Willingness to respond to emergency and trouble calls on a rotating 24-hour basis.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled manual & equipment-assisted work in the construction, operation & maintenance of water distribution and sewage collection systems, including reservoirs, valves, pipes, pumping stations, manholes and related structures.
• Operates loaders, backhoes, heavy trucks and specialized sewer-cleaning equipment; performs daily servicing and maintenance on equipment.
• Installs or replaces water meters and checks for proper registration.
• Assists with marking out and locating water and sewer pipes with contractors during construction or excavation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
