Job summary

Chicago Water & Fire Restoration is seeking a motivated Mitigation Estimator to join our growing team in the Chicagoland area. This role focuses on desk estimating, with occasional field estimating during high-volume periods or storm events, using industry-standard tools.

You will review notes, photos, 3D scans, and documentation to build accurate scopes, prepare estimates and invoices, and coordinate with project managers, insurance adjusters, and customers.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Xactimate required.
• Restoration estimating experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple files and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate water mitigation estimates and invoices using Xactimate.
• Review job notes, photos, 3D scans, and documentation to build accurate scopes.
• Complete estimate revisions and supplements.
• Communicate and negotiate with insurance adjusters.
• Assist customers with estimate-related questions.
• Coordinate with project managers, dispatch, and accounts receivable.
• Perform occasional field inspections and estimates as needed.
