Job summary

LU Service Corp. is seeking a dedicated Meter Reader responsible for accurately reading water meters, both manually and electronically, and recording volumes for customer accounts.

You will verify meter data, manage on/off services, and support meter maintenance and related tasks in a safety-focused environment. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read, understand and communicate work-related information in English.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with MS Office and SAP.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Read water meters (manual and electronic) and record volumes.
• Verify data on meters and addresses and turn water service on/off as needed.
• Perform meter sets, changes, and related maintenance.
• Maintain meter shop and assist with inventory and safety procedures.
• Respond to after-hours emergencies as required.
• Ensure accurate daily time and materials records.
