Job summary

San Antonio Water System (SAWS) is seeking a Foreperson for Meter Services to supervise a crew responsible for installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of water meters within the distribution system. You will ensure accurate metering, efficient water use, and timely issue detection affecting customer service and system performance.

An automatic progression plan exists: after 5 years as Foreperson, you advance to Senior Foreperson with SAWS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• TCEQ wastewater/water licenses may be required within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Trains, mentors, supervises, and evaluates crew members for efficiency and quality.
• Oversees repair, construction, and maintenance of water/wastewater systems; conducts leak surveys and data collection.
• Interprets blueprints, plans, as-builts, maps and maintenance reports.
• Ensures safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Provides guidance on AMI software and meter diagnostics.
• Performs other assigned duties.
