Job summary

City of Arkansas City is seeking a Water Line Replacement Maintenance Worker I to support the replacement, repair, and testing of water lines and related infrastructure. This role emphasizes hands-on outdoor work, safety, and teamwork in a community-focused department.

You will assist with installing and repairing water lines, operating tools and equipment, and documenting activities. Candidates should have a high school diploma and valid driver’s license; KDHE Water Distribution I is preferred,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or acceptable equivalent.
• KDHE Water Distribution I certification preferred.
• Valid Class C Driver's License with safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist with water line construction, replacement, and rehabilitation.
• Support system repair, leak fixes and service restoration.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and light equipment safely.
• Record work activities and support data collection.
• Notify residents of service interruptions and maintain professionalism.
