Job summary

Eugene Water & Electric Board (EWEB) seeks a Civil Staff Engineer or Senior Civil Engineer to join the Water Division in Eugene, Oregon. The role focuses on planning and delivering major water infrastructure projects to ensure safe, reliable, and resilient service for ~200,000 customers.

The position may be filled at Staff or Senior Engineer level, with responsibilities across design, project management, and coordination with internal/external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 4 years of relevant experience for Staff level; 9 years for Senior level.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead design engineer, project engineer, or project manager on multidisciplinary projects.
• Review engineering plans by external agencies and development proposals.
• Prepare technical memos, regulatory reporting, and engineering studies for the water system.
• Support operations stakeholders with technical reviews and standards maintenance.
• Lead project teams and coordinate with crews, contractors, regulators, and internal/external stakeholders to deliver projects.
• Provide construction management including site visits, review of inspections, change orders, and budget reporting.
