Job summary

Civil Science is seeking a Water Infrastructure Practice Leader to establish and guide our firmwide water practice. Lead delivery, drive business development, and mentor the next generation of engineers across regional offices.

This role emphasizes growth in water, sewer, and drainage services with a strong focus on municipal projects and client relationships. A PE license and extensive water experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 12+ years of experience in water infrastructure engineering and project management.
• Proven success leading municipal water projects from planning through construction.
• Strong client relationship management and business development experience.
• Ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and develop technical capabilities.
• Experience with water transmission and distribution systems, storage facilities, water source development, hydraulic modeling, and master planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and expansion of Civil Science's water infrastructure practice.
• Create growth strategies for water transmission, distribution, storage, and utility infrastructure services.
• Build relationships with municipal agencies, utility districts, and public-sector clients.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, proposals, and partnerships.
• Support revenue growth and maintain a sustainable project backlog.
• Serve as the firm's technical authority for water infrastructure projects.
• Provide guidance on hydraulic modeling and system master planning.
• Oversee project delivery, budgets, schedules, and profitability.
• Mentor engineers, project managers, and technical specialists.
