Job summary

GFT is seeking a senior Water Resources Engineer to lead major infrastructure projects across the Southeast. You will manage water, wastewater, and stormwater programs from planning through construction, directing multidisciplinary teams and maintaining client relationships.

You will develop scopes, schedules, and budgets, mentor engineers, and help expand services with municipal and utility clients while upholding high design and production standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in civil engineering required (or equivalent).
• Professional Engineer designation (P.E.) required.
• 15+ years' experience managing substantial water/stormwater projects.
• Proven project management skills and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated track record delivering projects on schedule and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead water, wastewater, and stormwater projects from planning through construction.
• Provide technical leadership for design, permitting, reports, and client presentations.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
• Oversee construction-phase services and ensure contract compliance.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and client agreements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulators.
• Mentor engineers and future leaders while promoting innovation and excellence.
