Job summary

GFT seeks an experienced Water Resources leader to manage and deliver large-scale water infrastructure projects across the Southeast. You will guide multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical excellence, and maintain strong client relationships with municipal and utility clients.

The role emphasizes leadership, project management, and execution from planning through construction, with opportunities to shape standards and grow the Water practice within the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited college or university.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation.
• 15+ years' experience managing substantial water or stormwater projects from conception to completion.
• Demonstrated strong project management skills.
• Successful record of delivering projects on schedule and budget with effective oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee water, wastewater, and stormwater projects from planning and design through construction.
• Provide technical leadership for engineering design, calculations, permitting, reports, and client presentations.
• Direct multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within budget.
• Oversee construction-phase services and ensure successful project execution per contract requirements.
• Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and client agreements.
• Coordinate with stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve milestones.
• Mentor engineers and develop future leaders.
