Job summary

GFT is seeking a Water/Wastewater Conveyance Engineer to join our Water Team in New Jersey, with a hybrid work model requiring regular attendance at one of our NJ offices. You will lead planning, design, and construction of water distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater systems, including pump/lift stations, and prepare complete construction packages.

You'll work with clients to identify needs, develop proposals, manage budgets and schedules, and mentor engineers on diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Experience with design and construction of water/wastewater conveyance systems.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with CAD, Civil 3D, and Bentley software.

Responsibilities

• Oversee planning, design, and construction of water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
• Prepare construction documents and specifications.
• Manage construction oversight for both new construction and rehabilitation projects.
• Lead client interactions and proposals, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop cost estimates and project schedules, ensuring timely delivery.
• Lead growth of client relationships and ensure design tasks stay within budget.
• Utilize engineering analyses and design software to solve complex issues.
